On behalf of all the team working on Legends of Callasia, we really want to thank our community for being so awesome! A complete expansion pack is now successfully funded including our stretch goal for 5 more multiplayer maps! Time to celebrate and to go back to work. We will post updates about the game and contact you about the rewards in the coming week. Thank you!
As always, you can chat with us on our Discord server for game updates, development progress, livestream schedules, multiplayer matches, and more.
We also playtested the new heroes, abilities, and cards from the DLC on our Twitch channel. You can watch the replay of our internal multiplayer match here:
We have 7 days left for the Kickstarter campaign, and though we’ve reached our original funding goal and our first stretch goal (5 additional maps), we’re less than $500 USD away from our next stretch goal of $4,000 (playable Cavespawn).
Some of the limited high-tier rewards we have left are:
Uber Spawn ($500): Design a Cavespawn Hero – 1 slot left
Legend ($250): Design a Map – 3 slots left
Hero ($100): Name a Cavespawn Hero – 4 slots left
We’d also like to share with you the art process in making one of the new Stoneborne heroes. Here’s a timelapse video from sketch to final portrait. His name will come from one of the backers who pledged the Hero reward.
Again, thank you to everyone who has pledged so far and those who continue spreading the word about our project! We’re also grateful to those who have been dropping by on Twitch and Discord. Please continue supporting us and help us make the Stoneborne DLC a great game!
We reached our $3,500 stretch goal for 5 additional maps thanks to our new backers! There are four more slots left for the ‘Design a Map’ reward at the $250 level if you want to work with us in those new maps.
And since we still have 16 days to go, we are also adding new stretch goals!
We will make the Cavespawn race fully playable in skirmish and multiplayer modes. Players of the full main game will get 4 Cavespawn heroes. To play all 8, you will need to buy the Stoneborne DLC.
We will adjust all of the maps in the game to have starting points for 2 to 8 players, so that the larger maps are preset for good games with fewer players. This will adjust the starting locations and the quick start values, so that playing on a big map with fewer players is more balanced and fun.
We will add 5 more maps designed for up to 12 players. This will also add in more color choices for multiplayer games.
Meanwhile, we just released a new update for the main game. Patch notes can be found here.
Thank you also for all the press coverage we received!
We just updated Legends of Callasia to v184.108.40.206. This update contains a bunch of changes to card usability as we’re now allowing Reinforce and “Battle” (those that affect battles) cards to be played on Allies. We’ve also added an In-Game Encyclopedia where you can view Hero, Units, Cards, and Structure information without having to go in a game.
Patch Notes v220.127.116.11
Added In-Game Encyclopedia. The Encyclopedia contains Hero, Units, Cards, and Structure data and can be accessed from the Main Menu.
All Reinforce cards (including Creeping Death) can now be played on Ally’s Heroes. If you and your ally are using different races, the card automatically converts the units to the recipient’s race (i.e. A Faeborne player uses a Reinforce Phoenixes on a Revenant ally, the Revenant ally gets Wyverns instead of Phoenixes).
Cards that directly affect battles can now also be played on Allies. Below is the list of affected cards.
Raise The Dead
Improved Network Turn Synching.
Possible fix for Player orders being dropped. If you still encounter this issue after this patch, please send us an In-Game Feedback or email us firstname.lastname@example.org.
Fixed the visual bug for Starting Gold that occurred when changing Player Color.
Adjusted Hero, Card, and Structure description for better messaging.
Miscellaneous bug fixes and network optimizations.
